The Meltham Memories Wartime Weekend is organised by a team of volunteers.
The event takes quite some organising with entertainers, exhibitors and re-enactors coming to participate from across the country.
Meltham Memories finances itself but funds need to be raised for insurance, traffic management, equipment hire, entertainers etc.
This is done through:
fund raising events including a regular quiz night at the Waggon & Horses;
nominal entry fee of £1 per adult to enter Events Area;
sale of event programmes @ £1 each; and
sponsorship from local businesses.
Meltham Memories take no fee or any sort of income from funds raised. Instead, the aim is to spend all monies raised on keeping the Wartime Weekend financially viable.
To find out whats on throughout your stay we recommend checking The Holmfirth Events website for information and dates on all local events.
